OBS Fuse Bridge

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how OBS Fuse Bridge, a privately distributed Windows production utility maintained by an independent developer, handles information when the application is used with Zoom meetings and OBS Studio.

Privacy-first design: OBS Fuse Bridge is designed to process meeting video locally on the operator's Windows computer. It does not operate an advertising network, analytics service, or cloud media-processing service.

1. Information the application may process

Depending on the meeting and connection mode, OBS Fuse Bridge may temporarily process:

Meeting information supplied by the operator, such as meeting ID, passcode, display name, and connection settings.
Participant information made available through the Zoom Meeting SDK, such as participant identifiers, display names, camera state, speaker state, and similar meeting-session metadata.
Raw participant video frames and thumbnail frames that Zoom makes available after the required meeting permissions are granted.
Authentication or session credentials required by the selected Zoom connection method.
Local technical diagnostics such as application version, SDK version, frame timing, renderer state, connection state, and error messages.

2. How information is used

The application uses this information only to provide its production functions, including connecting to a meeting, displaying participant feeds, maintaining the Program and Switchboard views, creating temporary thumbnails, supporting pinned Locale feeds, performing local video classification, switching video sources, and diagnosing technical problems.

3. Local processing and storage

Raw meeting video is intended to remain on the operator's computer and is processed locally for live production. OBS Fuse Bridge does not intentionally upload raw meeting video, participant thumbnails, or meeting audio to an external processing service.

Raw video frames and temporary thumbnails are not intended to be permanently retained by OBS Fuse Bridge. Technical configuration or credentials that the operator chooses to save may be stored locally using Windows-protected storage where supported by the application. Diagnostic logs may be retained locally until removed by the operator.

4. Zoom permissions and meeting notices

OBS Fuse Bridge relies on Zoom's Meeting SDK and follows Zoom's in-meeting permission controls. When Zoom requires recording, live-streaming, or raw-media permission, access must not begin until the applicable permission is granted. If that permission is revoked, the application is expected to stop accessing the protected meeting content.

5. Sharing of information

OBS Fuse Bridge does not sell personal information and does not use meeting information for advertising. Information may be exchanged with Zoom only as necessary to establish and maintain the Meeting SDK session. OBS Studio receives the locally produced video output when the operator uses the plugin inside OBS.

6. Data retention and deletion

Meeting media is intended to be transient. The operator can remove locally stored configuration and diagnostic files by using the application's cleanup/uninstall process or by deleting the local OBS Fuse Bridge data created on the computer. If support diagnostics are voluntarily provided to the developer, they are used only to troubleshoot the reported issue and should be deleted when they are no longer reasonably needed.

7. Data subject rights

Depending on applicable law, individuals may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information relating to them. Because OBS Fuse Bridge is primarily a local-processing application and does not maintain a centralized participant database, most meeting-session information is not retained by the application after use. Requests concerning information voluntarily provided for support can be made through the private support channel described on the Support page.

8. Security

Reasonable technical safeguards are used to limit unnecessary access to credentials and locally processed meeting data. Users should keep Windows, OBS Studio, the Zoom Meeting SDK runtime, and OBS Fuse Bridge updated and should restrict access to production computers.

9. Children

OBS Fuse Bridge is a technical production tool and is not directed to children. It should only be operated by authorized technical users who are responsible for complying with the host's meeting rules and applicable privacy requirements.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as OBS Fuse Bridge changes or as Zoom requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
